Welcome to Nerdy Wordy. True story: I registered the domain name and purchased a hosting package sometime in 2017. I posted a few time and then…silence. I realized that I didn’t know what direction to take the blog in and that I didn’t really like the posts I had written. I deleted everything. I still liked the domain name and knew I wanted to blog here, but didn’t know what to do with it. After some thought, I decided to turn it into a blog about journal writing, planning, etc. I consider Nerdy Wordy be a work in progress; I’m sure the focus will shift depending on the needs and interests both of myself and whomever ends up reading.

About me

Hi, I’m Sue. Or Taylor. Take your pick. I’m a 30-something based in Pennsylvania, USA. I’ve been keeping a journal or diary in some way, shape, or form off and on since childhood. The advice I post here is based on my experiences.

I’d love to hear your ideas. Feel free to fill out the contact form to get in touch or hit me up on social media.

Comment policy

Comments on posts are welcome and encouraged, with some caveats. If it’s your first time posting here, your initial comment will be held for screening. I reserve the right to delete or refuse comments for any reason. But don’t let that scare you, I generally think of myself as fairly laid back and will approve most anything. Things that will definitely get your comment removed, however, include:

  • Spam
  • Comments that aren’t related to the content of the post
  • Trolling

Posting schedule

My goal is to post at least once a week, a list-style post which should go up on Thursdays. There may also be an occasional essay style post going on on Tuesdays.

Nerdy Wordy makes use of affiliate links. This means that if you follow a link to an external website and make a purchase, I will receive a small commission. Rest assured that I don’t recommend products or services that I don’t actually use or like; whether or not I have an affiliate link won’t impact what I say.

Nerdy Wordy is hosted on shared hosting plan on Dreamhost. I use WordPress and DIYThemes. RSS feeds are hosted on Feedpress.

I have multiple online projects going on at any given time. If you’re interested in learning more about me and my other work, I encourage you to sign up for my free newsletter.
